War Games

I hate it when you spend hours fighting with a customer over the refund policy which has been tattooed into your mainframe by an annoying voice going ‘oh god don’t give em their money back that’s not what retails all about you know.’ You think you’re finally getting through to them, but the battles all but won as they pull the ‘I’d like to speak to the manager’ card. Now this only happens with a certain type of manager, you know the ones who loath being out on the shop floor it’s like their kryptonite. They march straight over to the till ignoring the cries for help from the customers around em, and then without so much as a blink of an eye they give them the refund they so truly believe they deserve, the manager walks off looking like a local hero and your left standing there with the customers smug face!
They may have won the battle but they’ll never win the war!

Of course the boss folds….
Even if one doesn’t, they keep trying until they get one who will. There is nothing worse.
been there done that. Its so f*cking annoying. I’ve learned to just call the manager right off the bat instead of wasting my time fighting with people so the manager can with one swift motion undo everything you say.
